Tucson Ranch Home
The Ranch style of home is one of the most popular in all of the United States and Tucson is no exception. It is a western home by origin. It is single story and is usually U or L shaped.
The typical Tucson ranch house is characterized by an open floor plan, large picture windows in the living room, broad street elevations and carports - and their exposed cars - as part of the overall street facade composition.
It is known for having a roof that is slightly pitched and is often constructed of slump block or brick. The front porch or entry is sometimes covered but not always. There are many Tucson homes that are Ranch style homes.
