Just a quick observation since today is the first day of February 2008.
When I was growing up and in school, & it wasn’t a one room school either. (but Mom’s was) : ) They taught us a simple way to remember leap year as the year we always voted for a president.
Now that I’m a few decades older I think they should change this. Politicians don’t need one more day to campaign and run ads on TV.
I think we should leap a leap year and move it to the year after a presidential election. How will we remember when it is a leap year? Easy we all remember that we have one more day added to our year before we have to pay our taxes on the policies implamented by the president we elected the previous year.
